i guess the answer varies from ppl to ppl..
some might be.. some might not..

I might be prejudiced, but from the previous post, i can safely say that i am ashamed(?) to be part of this govt slavery organisation... they suck as much out of u as they can and leave u dry and exhausted when ur expiry date draws near... they try to give u privileges that are so gd that you think it might just be true.... but its not...

eg1. for month of december and part of november.. OC give every monday half day off.. wah so gd.... but in actual fact, it will only affect 1 monday.. or 2 if u include the one in the blk leave
eg.2 they give u so much offs for everything.. gd eh.. but they pack so much stuffs into your schedule that you can hardly/never have the time to clear the offs.. the most give u half day half day..
eg3. their welfare for the subordinates are really quite gd... at least we get to have block leave in december.. just that it is the first and last week of the month.. whats more.. you get to have standby! the nex yr, b4 ord.. lets see... schedule is just as packed.. wat abt the remaining 19 or 20 days of leave? february would be gd for those ORD in march, however, there's always a big BUT in this place.. mid-end of feb got some shit event cannot clear leave.. b4 that i would guess alot of practise for this.. also cannot clear... january? got some other events as well.. so how? no block leave.. clear half day leave or alternate days like they always do? who knows..

the examples are neverending.. but just that i forgot abt them.. the positive points of this place ? cant think of any... other than the fact that u meet more doctors in Singapore..

1 fortunate soul has finally left the hellish place.. 19 more to go..
Went for nights off the other day and bumped into an exclassmate of mine.. The following is the short conversation we had..

Me : Hey xxx...

Ex : Hey! How you been?

Me : Sian la.. you?

Ex : How come? me ar.. quite slack now.. going watch movie now.. Where you going?

Me : I go back camp book in liao lo.. now 2230 liao leh.. so late no need book in?

Ex : Orh.. just come out from camp.. going watch midnight show..

Me : So gd ar? your PCs let u all come out?

Ex : No la.. going to ORD soon.. nobody care liao.. nth to do also.. How abt u? when ORD?

Me : March lo.. u?

Ex : er.. ok.. me june.. Then wat u doing in camp now?

Me : Now got course lo.. some engineer thing la..

Ex : wah.. going ORD liao still go course? instructor ar?

Me : Traineeee.....

Ex : Siao ar.. last 3 mths still got course to attend.. whole nsf life so busy ar.

Me : actually no la.. past few mths was lull period.. only got SOC, outfield,trainings, remedials, revisions, ops, acct and some sai kang la.. not much..

Ex : ......

Me : after this course shld be slack liao la.. my OC say low key liao.. only left COC, combat shoot, SOC, remedial, ops and trainings..

Ex : ..... ok... then when u clearing leave?

Me : already cleared 1 week liao lo.. b4 this course lo.. 1 more week after this course.. u leh?

Ex : so cham ar.. block leave split into 2.. me ar.. november clear one whole month liao..no more leave and off left..

Me : then nex yr b4 ord no leave to clear?

Ex : orhh.. no need huan lo liao that one.. after feb the ops our csm give us off all the way until ord lor.. since nth to do liao and juniors taking over...

Me : wah ur unit so gd ar..?

Ex : no la.. quite ok.. juz now i met "150".. he say he also v shiok in his unit..

Me : of course la.. he occifer ma..

Ex : ya.. he say he whole day not sit in office then is in canteen.. then after 3pm go play soccer with boss.. 1 mth do work once.. plan training for their men.. take calendar fill in all the boxes with courses and trainings... see the guys do things v shiok he say...

Me : er... i see... poor men.. he wat unit ar?

Ex : dunno wat man in black one la..

Me : ..... i see.... ok have to zao liao.. cannot go back late.. late 1min 3 extras leh.. nex time i take MC then jio u go out.. bye..

Ex : bye bye
